One number does it all

At Officeexec we pride ourselves on always going forward with new technology. Our latest tool that is geared towards helping small businesses is the single number that can handle fax and phone.

All our systems are digital and run on tested Cisco routers and switches. This allows us to keep up with technological change and provide the gains to our clients. Digital packet switching has been around for some time, but the possibility of recognizing a call and intelligently switching delivery methods is something our engineers had to tinker with for a while. Now that is has been tested and has proven itself, it is ready be rolled out to you.

The new system will automatically understand whether the call is a voice call our a fax. If it is a fax, it will convert the incoming document stream into pdf pages, create a pdf document, attach it to an email and send it out to you. Those of you who have a Blackberry will especially benefit from it. Imagine you have your virtual office phone number set up in such a way that it all calls get relayed to your Blackberry. Now, you will even get your faxes send to your Blackberry and you will be able to access them anywhere. However, if it is a voice call, the call will be send via the default channels - so our live receptionist will pick it up and forward it to you, it will go directly to your mailbox, or it will go to the digital receptionist - which ever way you choose to set up your phone system.

The next feature that will be available soon is email to fax. Now you can take an digital document that you have and send it to our communications servers and your email attachment will be converted and send as fax to the appropriate number. This feature is scheduled to roll out this fall.

One of the advantages of fax to email that there is a considerable reduction in paper waste. Any spam faxes can be delted in your inbox without wasting paper or ink. At Officeexec we are proud to implement and develop greener alternatives whenever possible.

This feature will become available as an add on service - you can either choose a dedicated fax to pdf number, or we can reconfigure your existing phone number to do both.
