One number does it all
At Officeexec we pride ourselves on always moving forward with innovative technology. Our latest tool geared towards helping small businesses is the single contact number that can handle faxes and phone calls.
All our systems are digital and run on tested Cisco routers and switches. This allows us to keep up with technological changes and provide the gains to our clients. Digital packet switching has been around for some time, but the possibility of recognizing a call and intelligently switching delivery methods is something our engineers had to tinker with for a while. Now that is has been tested and proven, it is ready to be rolled out to you.
The new system will automatically understand whether the incoming call is a voice call or fax. If it is a fax, it will convert the incoming document stream into PDF pages, create a PDF document, attach it to an email and send it out to you. Those of you who have Blackberries or other smart phones will especially benefit from this service. Imagine having your virtual office phone number set up so that all its calls get relayed to your mobile device. And now even your faxes will get sent to your phone enabling access to them from remote locations. However, a voice call will still be sent via the default channels - so our live receptionist will have it forwarded to you, or it will go directly to your mailbox, or it will go to the digital receptionist - the choices are entirely yours.
The next feature that will be available soon is emails to fax. Now you can take a digital document that you have and send it to our communications servers and your email attachment will be converted and sent as a fax to the appropriate number. This feature is scheduled to roll out this fall.
Faxes can also be converted into emails. This provides a considerable reduction in paper waste. Any spam faxes can be deleted in your inbox without wasting paper or ink. At Officeexec we are proud to develop and implement greener alternatives whenever possible.
The email-fax feature will become available as an-add on service - you can either choose a dedicated fax to PDF number, or we can reconfigure your existing phone number to do both.
